New Beginnings: A New Look at an Old Project

This is the first in what I hope will be a series of entertaining and insightful posts. Not to get too eloquent on you, but the last blog was ...... boring. While I certainly enjoy talking about the endless series of dramas that construct my personal life, I'm bumping it up a notch. This blog is my new launch pad for politics, humor, opinion and anything else I randomly decide to take a stab at. Most people who read this already know me or at least a little about me. I'm a 21 year old college student who's willing to try anything at least once. I suck at writing and love broadcasting. Ironically, I hate politics but enjoy reporting on political events. Don't ask me to explain that one to you. Media is the air I breathe (sappy but true). Eventually, you're gonna see me making money behind a camera.

On the subject of media, I want to introduce a show I recently discovered. True, it was 1am on a Saturday night; alcohol may or may not have been involved. Nonetheless, I introduce for your consideration, 30 Rock. That's right, Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin have moved beyond SNL and onto bigger things (Don't ask what's bigger than SNL). The show, airing at 9:30 Thursday nights on NBC, follows the harried life of comedy writer, Liz Lemon, as she tries to field a paranoid actress, a rapper with the IQ of goldfish, and a power hungry boss. While I have always been a fan of Tina Fey, adding Alec Baldwin to the show creates a whole new element of comedy. Episodes are available on Hulu TV and NBC's official website. Check it out.

PS: For anyone who's wondering about my personal life, it's great. I just got back from Canada's annual Shakespeare Festival (yes, I like Shakespeare). The girls and I saw some of the most incredible interpretations I've ever come across. I will post the photos on Facebook and Picasa. I won't be home much this coming month. Lonestar and Alan Jackson concerts with my buddy ;-), Santa Barbara for YAF and finally home for Thanksgiving is going to make one hell of a month. Hopefully, I can still pass my Latin test!
